We are pleased to hold our event at the Omni San Antonio Hotel on the near northwest side of San Antonio off Interstate IH-10. The Omni San Antonio Hotel is a four-diamond, luxury hotel which captures the essence of San antonio with impeccable service and charm. We locked in an $87.00 room rate by signing the contract over two years in advance. This is an astounding 42-64% off the normal rates for these rooms! The special rate is available by contract for three days either side of the conference, meaning for arrival as early as July 23rd and departure as late as August 1st. If you make reservations sufficiently early, and rooms are available, hotel personnel have informed us you can get this rate for a longer period.

Our special room rate holds by contract for registrations made through July 12, 2007, or as long as rooms are available, whichever comes first. As noted elsewhere, San Antonio is the first most visited city in the third most visited state in the USA. Hotels fill quickly, even at rates exceeding $240 per night. We have a guaranteed block of only 100 rooms, so rooms WILL cease to be available well before July 12th. The Omni is an extraordinary value for the $87 conference rate. If you make your hotel reservations sufficiently early, and additional rooms are still open in addition to the 100 blocked for us, the Omni will accept as many more reservations at the conference rate as they have rooms open to accomodate. Note that once the Omni Hotel is full, there may or may not be alternative lodging possibilities in the area. There are some possibilities within walking distance of the Omni, IF they have openings. In any case, room rates will be at normal, non-conference levels, expensive compared to the conference rate at the Omni. As the conference hotel fills, alternates which have rooms avaialble will be listed here. There is no guarantee that space will be available late in this process. Hotel accomodations, citywide, fill quickly in San Antonio. It is in your best interest to make reservations as soon as possible, and we encourage you to do so. As noted above, the Omni San Antonio Hotel has a free shuttle to and from the San Antonio International Airport. Additionally, a free shuttle is available to/from both La Cantera, an up-scale mall near Fiesta Texas (six Flags), and North Star mall, a long-established shopping experience famous for the giant cowboy boots on the access road in front of the mall. We are planning to arrange transportation to/from the Rivercenter Mall and riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, as well, both as part of the family program and for those who prefer an unstructured approach to their liesure time during the conference.
