Guidance for Presenters
As a Society Member, we need YOU to share with us your riveting and fast-paced presentation. Suggested topics span
the entire breadth of our weak signal VHF/UHF/Microwave work to include propagation, operating events, construction,
new technologies, and more. Please give serious consideration of making a presentation at our 2007 conference. We
have an outstanding A/V capability and you will be provided assistance for your presentation.
SCHEDULE
Presentations must be submitted to the Technical Conference Chairman at least two weeks prior to the conference, or
by Friday, July 13. Your presentation will preloaded and tested to ensure it works with our presentation audio & visual
systems. You do not need to bring your own laptop.
FORMAT
Microsoft Power Point is the preferred format for presentations. If you have an alternate format, please advise. We will
do what we can to accomodate you. For presentations that consist of only pictures, a good alternative is a series of
sequentially numbered image files (gif, jpg, tif). All presentations will be assembled onto a single laptop and tested
to assure that they work prior to the start of the conference. Please advise media, ie., 3.5" floppy or CD or internet
download. Internet interface will be available, if you need it for your presentation. Please insure that your presentation
is clear and easy to read remembering that the conference typically draws upwards of 150 attendees of varied background.
We intend to upload presentation materials to the Central States website unless you specifically notify us that this is not
acceptable to you. For any questions, contact the Technical Conference Chairman.
SUBMISSION
Please forward your presentation material via email, CD, floppy, or other form (as arranged with the technical chairman) by the
afore-mentioned deadline. Please remember to spell-check and proof read your submissions.
